Can I bring in outside catering? 

Canvas Restaurant & Marketplace is the exclusive catering partner for the Dockside.
We do not allow any 3rd party caterers to deliver food to Dockside.

What is your alcohol policy?

Due to liability restrictions and liquor license regulations, alcohol cannot be brought into the Dockside unless provided by Canvas Restaurant.

Can we cook our own food at the building or bring food from home?

We do not allow cooking in the building however, if you are a Laureate Park resident, we do allow you to bring food from home. We do not allow sternos to be used, but heat lamps, crockpots, and electric warmers are allowed, The venue will not provide these for food not provided from Canvas. Please be aware that Dockside does not provide plates, napkins, flatware, glassware, ice, or wait staff when you do not cater through Canvas.

Are we able to have both a wedding ceremony and reception at Dockside?

Yes, we do have an option for ceremony space that is available for an additional cost.

Yes, the outdoor Glass House Lawn is available for ceremony space.

There is a $500 rental fee per hour of use. Chairs are not provided by the venue.

How much time should I book the venue for?

Our minimum rental time is 4 hours however, depending on the type of event we recommend renting the space for 6-8 hours. We offer 4,6 or 8 hour rentals depending on your event needs. Set up and tear down times are in included in the rental duration.

What is included with the rental fee?

We are happy to include all of our tables and chairs, black linens, 2 podiums, 2 wireless microphones, 2 screens and 2 projectors, sound system, and use of the greenroom. Please see venue details for full list of what is included with your rental cost.

Can we hang decor from the ceiling?

With prior approval, yes we can allow items to be hung from the ceiling. We will need to know exactly what the decor is, the weight of each piece, and how many you plan to hang. Anything that is hung from the ceiling must be installed by a licensed and insured professional, we do not allow you to hang items yourself. 

Can we come in early to decorate?

Any additional time needed outside of your contracted time will be charged to the overall rental and may result in an increased F&B min. Our team will have all of your tables and chairs set so the room will be ready for you or your vendors to decorate at that time. 

Do you allow candles?

Yes, as long as they are in containers that are taller than the candle to catch the wax and so the flames are not exposed.

Do you allow animals?

With the exception of service animals, we do not allow animals in Dockside.

Do you allow sparklers or grand exits?

No, we do not allow sparklers on the property. Bubbles are allowed as long as they are used outside only. We do not allow confetti, rice, fake flower petals, hay, or glitter. Improper use of any of these items will result in a damage fee added to your rental.  Any and all loose florals must be real due to our environmental restrictions. Please inquire within.

Can I come and take a tour?

Absolutely! Please call or email us to make your appointment. 

How do I book my event?

Once you are ready to confirm your date, our staff will send you a formal contract outlining all of the details. Your date will not be confirmed until the signed contract and receive a 50% deposit.

How can I make my payments?

Payments are accepted by credit card or ACH. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, & Discover. Checks are not an accepted form of payment.

Canvas/TRC event Cancellation?

The deposit is non refundable in all cases.
If event is cancelled less than 60 days prior to the event - deposit forfeited.
If event is cancelled less than 30 days prior to the event - 50% + deposit forfeited.
If event is cancelled less than 7 days prior to the event - 100% + deposit forfeited.
